CAQ Quality Engineer

Schulte & Co. GmbH is an international Tier 1 supplier with approximately 1,000 employees. As a development and production supplier to the international automotive industry (specializing in connector assemblies, wiring harnesses, and fuse boxes), we develop and manufacture wiring harnesses and components at four locations in Hemer, the Czech Republic, and Tunisia.
To strengthen our quality management team, we are seeking a dedicated and qualified CAQ Quality Engineer (m/f/d) who, with analytical thinking and technical expertise, will actively help shape the quality of our products and processes.

TASKS THAT AWAIT YOU WITH US
- Responsibility for the administration, further development, and systematic use of the CAQ system
- Conducting training sessions on the CAQ system and statistics (including at international locations), including the preparation of training materials
- Creation and optimization of inspection and production control plans, as well as defect tracking sheets, in the relevant CAQ software
- Analysis and evaluation of quality and process data to identify causes, trends, and opportunities for improvement; application of statistical methods
- Initiating, managing, and tracking measures to prevent errors on a sustainable basis
- Creation of meaningful metrics, dashboards, and management reports
- Interface management with related departments such as development, procurement, and production
- Preparation, support, and evaluation of internal and external audits
- Ensuring and continuously improving quality standards throughout the entire value chain
- Technical support for international locations on complex quality issues
PREREQUISITES YOU SHOULD BRING WITH YOU
- Successful completion of technical vocational training with further training to become a technician (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in quality assurance, ideally in the manufacturing or automotive industry
- In-depth knowledge of testing procedures, measuring and testing equipment, and the development and maintenance of test plans
- Experience in handling customer complaints, particularly 3D/8D reports
- Proficient use of CAQ systems, SPC, and statistical analysis methods
- Knowledge of quality methods such as 5-Why, FMEA, and APQP, as well as relevant norms and standards, e.g., IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3
- Experience with customer portals and quality-related documentation
- An independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, and cross-functional collaboration
- Enjoyment of sharing expertise and supporting internal training
- Good command of written and spoken English
