Schulte & Co. GmbH is an international Tier 1 supplier with around 1,000 employees. As a development and series supplier to the international automotive industry (with a focus on contact parts, power cable harnesses and fuse boxes), we develop and manufacture cable harnesses and components at four locations in Hemer, the Czech Republic and Tunisia. To lead our local purchasing team, we are looking for an experienced and committed Purchasing Team Leader (m/f/d) who will take responsibility for the further development of operational and strategic purchasing and act as an interface to internal departments and external partners.

TASKS THAT AWAIT YOU WITH US

Operational implementation of quality-related processes in accordance with QMH guidelines
Responsible for the approval, evaluation, and management of national and international suppliers, as well as the conclusion of quality assurance and performance agreements
Managing and conducting supplier evaluations and risk assessments in accordance with the VDA/RGA model as part of interdisciplinary teams
Preparing, conducting, and overseeing supplier audits and process acceptance inspections at suppliers, as well as participating in other internal and external audits
Ensuring Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP/RGA) and actively participating in product and process approvals and manufacturability assessments
Continuous monitoring of delivery quality, including the preparation of quality reports and the implementation and tracking of appropriate corrective and improvement measures
Ensuring and further developing the supplier complaint process, evaluating and tracking 8D reports using VDA methods
Analysis and evaluation of customer requirements (CSR) with the aim of ensuring compliance with standards and customer specifications throughout the supply chain
Developing delivery specifications for purchased parts in interdisciplinary teams, as well as assisting in the creation of incoming goods inspection plans and selecting appropriate testing and measurement methods
Planning, implementing, and monitoring supplier development initiatives in coordination with Quality Assurance, SCM Procurement, and Project Management

PREREQUISITES YOU SHOULD BRING WITH YOU

Completed technical training with relevant continuing education in quality management, or a college degree, for example in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or quality management
Several years of professional experience in supplier or quality management, ideally in the automotive supply industry
In-depth knowledge of relevant automotive regulations and automotive core tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, VDA methods)
Experience conducting supplier audits, risk assessments, and process approvals Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications
Analytical thinking skills, as well as the ability to work in a structured and independent manner
Assertiveness, strong negotiation skills, and a friendly demeanor
Strong communication skills, as well as a focus on teamwork and collaboration
Proficiency in spoken and written English, as well as a willingness to travel occasionally
